Taking the Playground indoors for the winter!

After the success of our Summer Playground sessions - we’ve been trying to find a way they can continue through the colder, wetter, frosty months! The logistics have proven difficult and feedback from our survey (thank you to those who fed-back) was mixed - so before we make any big timetable changes and start booking extra halls, we thought we’d try a couple of taster sessions in place of our usual Wednesday dance sessions in November - so you can try it for yourself before committing to a 6 week block!

The Playground is an opportunity to ‘play’ with equipment and functional fitness technique in a safe and friendly space. It follows a circuit format of active periods and rest periods and you are encouraged to work at a level that is challenging but achievable by listening to your body.

All of the moves have options to make them more accessible or more challenging to suit the individual. We will always start with the beginner/accessible option (suitable for most people) and build from there. If you don’t have gym equipment, there will be household alternatives suggested in advance so MissFits can join in at home. Here’s the items you’ll need:

We’ll then consider the feedback from these two sessions, along with the feedback so far to work out how we can best offer the Missfits Workout Playground…! I’m hopeful we can find a way to make it work in a slightly bigger group, whilst remaining cost effective for everyone.

The plan is to move face to face sessions back to the garden as soon as possible in the spring - and to deliver online sessions separately.

As always - we welcome your feedback - so let us know what you think!
